The Premier League is back in action this weekend with a new set of games, and Brentford will face Manchester United at the GTECH Community Stadium in this weekend’s matchup.

Brentford are now 15th in the Premier League table and have struggled this season. The host side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Burnley during their last game and will have to work hard to recover in this match.

Manchester United, on the other hand, is now sixth in the league standings and has been rather remarkable in recent weeks. The Red Devils defeated Liverpool 4-3 in their previous FA Cup game and will seek to repeat a similar level of performance this weekend.

The Red Devils will be heavily favoured to pick up three points, with Brentford currently 15th and dealing with injuries as they are pulled into a relegation battle.

Eight games in the top flight are scheduled for this Saturday. Newcastle vs. West Ham started things off at lunchtime and are followed by five games at 5 p.m. After that, Wolves will visit Aston Villa at 7:30 p.m.

Due to the kickoff time, United decided to travel on the day of the game, giving them plenty of time to get there before they are needed at the GTECH Community Stadium.

United has had four games moved to 8 p.m. on Saturdays this season, the most any team in the Premier League has had, and all of them have been away from home, following travels to Newcastle, Sheffield United, and Burnley.

It has also been stated that the delayed departure will provide several of their key players with additional recovery time due to illness or injury, notably Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo starred for England in his international debut over the last fortnight, but he missed training on Thursday due to illness after returning to club duty.

“Yesterday he skipped training because he was ill. I don’t know (if he will be fit). We hope. Today he is there, not fully recovered but we still have many hours before tomorrow with kick-off at 8pm,” said Erik ten Hag on Friday.

Jonny Evans and other players will also face late fitness tests before the game.

Brentford, meanwhile, will remain without Ben Mee and Ethan Pinnock as their injury problems worsen.

Bryan Mbeumo, on the other hand, is anticipated to play some minutes, as is Ivan Toney, who scored for England against Belgium on Tuesday.
