The public is being cautioned about criminals purporting to be witch doctors who claim that they can multiply money into thousands of rands and those claiming to assist people with their pension applications for a fee.

This comes after numerous cases were reported to the Directorate in the past few weeks.

The public is also warned to be careful when buying items online.

The public is warned to be vigilant with their money and if anyone falls into such scams, they should know that they will lose their hard-earned money.

If any person suspects such criminality, should immediately report to the nearest police station.
