Black First Land First (BLF) has been kicked out of the Justice and Correctional Services Committee meeting in Parliament where Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is appearing.
This comes after they staged a silent protest holding placards in the committee meeting during the proceedings.
BLF accused the committee of acting like a kangaroo court to vilify Mkhwebane.
The Public Protector is appearing to respond to allegations that she suppressed certain information in the Estina Vrede Dairy Project in the Free State.
SABC News caught up with BLF Deputy President Zanele Lwana as they were removed from the committee meeting in Marks building.
“As the Black First Land First Movement, we strongly believe that the work that is being done by this committee is to create a kangaroo court where the Public Protector which is advocate Mkhwebane is being prosecuted, vilified, stripped off her dignity, particularly because of her work she has done to investigate and implicate the corruption of white monopoly capital. We know that in the broadest spectrum in the country is to portray black people as corrupt and incompetent. We think she is being prosecuted for telling Absa to pay,” says Lwana.
