An anonymous caller, called our editor to give the following account 23:12 pm – 08/08/2017

It is time for Cubana management to step up and make customers feel secure. I believe the video footage from the establishment will vindicate manana and show that our friend, who was in the video wearing a white and black cap assaulted the ladies and not manana. I am not in the place to mention names but if you watch the video very well, you will see him.

According to the alleged friend who called townpress, the video shows manana in red as he was following the lady being dragged by a bouncer trying to get her away from then. He says he was at Cubana when the incidence happened and believe it is unfortunate that the deputy minister was handpicked by the lady who started the altercation incidence despite the minimal involvement of manana in the situation. The ladies were drunk and wanted some attention, what started as an argument escalated when the drunk ladies started insulting us. It was also not to have escalated as such but one of our friends ( in the black and white stripe cap) seen in the video was actually infuriated and hit the lady.

The ladies were drunk and wanted some attention, what started as an argument escalated when the drunk ladies started insulting us. It was not supposed to have escalated as such but one of our friends ( in the black and white stripe cap) seen in the video was actually infuriated and hit the lady.

It is true that manana did slap her when she made an arrogant comment but this lady was intoxicated and wanted some attention, what started as an argument escalated when the drunk ladies started insulting us.

The Audio Clip circulated also is one to confirm that manana confirmed he slapped her but didn’t do anything other than that :

I feel this is wrong, for rude ladies as such to hide under the might of public protection. She knows she was wrong but knows the public would fall for her bait and she used it. if she really did nothing wrong, why is she not giving the correct account of the incidence?

It feels wrong that a society as ours in this day and age gives women as these ones at Cubana that night, the might they do not deserve, she makes a daring boast, insult people, get called to order and then runs to the media.

Manana was advised to apologize but then he got himself into more unnecessary scrutiny. He could have been fair to himself to have managed this issue intellectually. I think this would not only serve as an example but a life long experience on how to manage such issues.

The caller ended the call with the following ” I refuse to be recorded or filmed and please do not record me or release statements I did not utter. I believe you will do the right thing and not twist my comment or use it against Manana”.

Editor’s Note

It is women’s month and with such in mind, such incidences are not to be accepted in a morally correct society as ours, and the general stance is that justice would take its cause and pass the right judgment where necessary.
