The man accused of fatally shooting Warrick ‘Dj Warras’ Stock appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Stock was killed on December 16, 2025, after leaving a building near the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg’s central business district. According to the State, he was approached by suspects who opened fire before fleeing the scene.

Mozambican national Armindo Pacula, 25, faces charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and contravening the Immigration Act. His case was initially postponed to verify an address for potential bail.

However, the address provided in a Germiston informal settlement could not be confirmed, and the identity document submitted was found to be Mozambican, indicating that Pacula is in South Africa illegally.

Pacula’s defence lawyer confirmed the suspect’s illegal status in the country and indicated that Pacula may consider entering a plea. The lawyer requested access to the docket to verify the specifics of the intended plea.

The defence also asked that Pacula not be returned to Sun City Prison in Johannesburg, citing concerns for his safety due to alleged threats from individuals involved in previous incidents.

The State has arranged for Pacula to be moved to Modderbee Correctional Centre in Benoni. The matter is postponed until Wednesday, February 11.

Pacula’s co-accused, Victor Mthethowakhe Majola, who was denied bail on January 26, 2026, is also due back in court on February 11.

He faces charges of murder, premeditated murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. During bail proceedings, Majola claimed he is not a flight risk, highlighting his self-employment as a taxi owner, community ties, dependants, and denying any involvement in the murder.

Stock, a well-known DJ, radio personality, businessman, and founder of a VIP protection company, was shot multiple times in what the State alleges was a premeditated hit.
