JOHANNESBURG – The inquiry into the Grayston Drive Bridge collapse is set to resume on Thursday.
Last year, the temporary pedestrian and cyclist bridge collapsed on Johannesburg’s M1 highway, resulting in two deaths and 19 injuries.
The Section 32 Inquiry set up by the Department of Labour will investigate instances of alleged negligence over seven consecutive days.
Testimony from the construction firm Murray & Roberts is expected on Thursday.
Other witnesses include engineers and representatives from the City of Johannesburg and the National Union of Mineworkers.
