JOHANNESBURG – Dolly Tshabalala’s mother is not happy with the sentence handed down to Donald Sebolai.
Elizabeth Marawa says the former Jozi FM DJ should have received a life sentence.
She says the 38-year old robbed Tshabalala’s daughter of a chance to grow up with a mother.
Judge Cassim Moosa sentenced the father of the three to 20 years in prison for killing Tshabalala in 2014.
He was also given five years for defeating the ends of justice.
Sebolai has said that he will appeal the sentence.
Moosa said Sebolai is a man with the propensity for violence against women.
Sebolai is now seeking forgiveness.
“I am asking for forgiveness for what happened, I did not plan it, let them find it on their hearts to forgive me on what happened that morning and it’s the truth.”
