President of the African Christian Democratic Party(ACDP) Reverend Kenneth Meshoe says he is unhappy about the treatment he and his wife have received at Sanward in Ekurhuleni.
Meshoe says his wife’s name is not on the voters roll despite them both visiting the polling station to verify their details during the registration period.
He says despite asking the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) presiding officer address the issue, they have not been helped.
Meshoe says, “The treatment that the presiding officer in this station has shown today is despicable. I was taken to her, she knows I’m here, she knows I have a complaint and she just said No wait!” I’ve been waiting for thirty minutes and she is not responding, so I am going to go and lodge a complaint.”
“Every vote is important, one vote can make a difference so it is a right we have to vote. But this right is being denied to my wife and other people and we are very unhappy about it,” he added.
