This was announced in a statement released on Saturday under the heading “President Tinubu to address the nation” by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity.
For the broadcast, he pleaded with radio, television, and other electronic media outlets to sign up for the Nigerian Television Authority and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s network services
“The broadcast will be repeated on the NTA and FRCN network services at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day,” the statement continued.
Protesters have not stopped taking to the streets in Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, and other states, demanding things like the removal of fuel subsidies and an end to the nation’s exorbitant prices for products and services.
The police are pursuing the thieves in order to retrieve some of the stolen goods, but the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration has been tainted by looting by thugs in Kano and other northern areas.
