CAPE TOWN – A baby who was snatched from Worcester Hospital has now been found.
The 10-day-old baby boy was abducted last week from the hospital’s maternity ward.
The baby vanished during visiting hours at the hospital.
Following an intensive search, the child was tracked down and found over the weekend.
Police have arrested two female suspects, including a 17-year-old girl.
The provincial health department is also investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance.
The department insists security at the hospital is tight and has confirmed a security guard was on duty at the maternity ward’s entrance on the day the little boy was snatched.
