PRETORIA – The owner of the infamous Blackdoor Lifestyle Lounge that was raided during the state of disaster curfew in 2020 has been reported missing since Saturday. The club owner was allegedly kidnapped & abducted on Saturday night around 20:00pm according to a post that was shared on Twitter.

It is not clear what happened at the scene of the incident as there is no official forensic report by the South African Police Service regarding the incident. The only conclusions drawn were based on eyewitnesses, the car, and gun bullets that were found at the scene.

The owners of blackdoor lifestyle lounge Don Eje and Stanley Obiamalu have allegedly been targeted by various social groups in the country as far back as 2019, calling for an investigation into their affairs and establishment. This was before the raid was carried out at the club in 2020.

Townpress reporter was at Douglasdale Police Station and after speaking to those on duty concluded there was not much information to share regarding this case as allegations continue that some of the kidnappers were seen in police uniforms.

The police inspector that attended to the reporter also refused to answer any of the questions regarding the allegations, particularly that the case was not investigated properly due to the fact the victim was not a South African citizen.

The Nigerian Consulate and the Association of Nigerians in South Africa also had no information on the progress of the case, contact of the family, or any vital correspondence with the authorities in locating Don Eje.

Eje has been labeled by many, as a hard worker and entrepreneurial Nigerian living in South Africa, even though some people hold a different opinion. However, there has been a thread of comments across social media platforms under the hashtag #helpfinddon #FreeDonEje soliciting for information and his return.

Anyone with any information regarding the case can contact the Douglasdale Police Station on 011 699 1333
