In an intelligence-driven operation by the eThekwini inner south policing cluster, the Durban organised crime unit and the Shongweni K9 unit the two were arrested on Thursday night, police said in a statement.
“The planned raid recovered 4,000 Mandrax tablets, two packets of cocaine and 9kg of heroin at one of the suspect’s homes in Reservoir Hills.
The team also recovered a bag of empty pink and clear capsules and six heroin capping trays that were being used to produce heroin capsules at the home.
Both suspects have been charged for dealing in drugs.”
eTthekwini inner south cluster commander Major-General Keerath Nunkumar commended the officers for their swift reaction to arrest the drug dealers as well as recovering a large amount of cocaine and heroin.
