The City of Cape Town’s electricity and generation teams will conduct crucial maintenance on the electrical infrastructure in Bonteheuwel over four days.
The scheduled maintenance will take place on 22, 24, 29, and 31 October, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
If everything proceeds as planned, this work will lead to temporary power outages. The City has advised that electricity supply could be restored at any time, and residents should consider all electrical installations as live throughout the outage period.
The City also recommends that residents switch off their appliances to prevent damage from potential power surges when electricity is restored.
If power is not restored within the expected time, residents are encouraged to check the municipality’s official communication platforms, including social media.
They may also contact the call centre before logging a service request regarding the scheduled maintenance.
