EASTERN CAPE – Two suspects, aged 59 and 62 years were arrested for possession of stolen sheep at Mitford on Sunday, 18 July 2021.
The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of the day, through a tip from an anonymous member of the community, over concerns of possible looted properties in the area. Police received the information of the suspected stolen sheep being hidden in one of the houses.
Members of the SAPS quickly responded and recovered twenty (20) sheep to the value of over R26 000 and believed to be stolen at Tarkstad.
Suspects were detained and will appear before court soon.
