JOHANNESBURG – Just days after her birthday, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s cash gift has gone missing.
She’s opened a case of theft after R83,000 disappeared from her Orlando West home.
She had kept the money in her handbag with the intention to bank it at a later stage.
Madikizela-Mandela discovered the money was missing when she took her bag out to look for bread money.
She received it as a birthday gift.
