President Cyril Ramaphosa says State Owned Enterprises will be reformed to enable them to play a meaningful role in the economy.
Ramaphosa was addressing a Presidential Golf Challenge Galla Dinner at Century City in Cape Town on Thursday.
He says the country is in an era where every South African yearns to see State Owned Enterprises play the most meaningful role in the economy.
“And that is the era we are in now. The era where our State-owned enterprises will either be captured, waste resources, where there will be embezzlement, where there will be wastage of money and all that or stealing of money is over, it is behind us and we don’t want to get back there anymore.”
Ramaphosa also spoke about his commitment to job creation.
