With a booming business as a wedding planner, a beautiful family and an acting career that is gaining momentum again, 2016 has treated Sophie Ndaba well, but things turned for the worst when she lost her father. But as the saying goes, there’s always a rainbow after the rain.

In an interview with Drum Magazine, the actress and businesswoman spoke fondly about her recent achievements which include her weight loss, being a television producer and her recent acting role on Isidingo.

However, with everything that is going well in her life, Sophie also spoke about losing her father just a few weeks back.

Sophie lost her 75-year-old father, Mr Solly Mphasane to kidney failure which he was diagnosed with in 2005.

“He suffered from it for 10 years. Over the years, he survived by having his blood filtered by a dialysis machine and I am glad I was able to provide him a good quality life for him and that we got to spend time with him,” said Sophie

Even though she’s still grieving the loss of her father, Sophie is also in a good space when it comes to relationships, she also revealed to the publication that she has a new man in her life but would rather not reveal his identity.

Although she’s had two failed marriages in the past, Sophie still believes in her fairytale happy ending when it comes to love.

“I’ve been hurt a couple of times and I have cried over it but I still believe in Prince Charming. I still believe I will have my happily ever after.”
