JOHANNESBURG – Motorists should be safe and cautious on the roads this long weekend.

That’s the warning from Transport Minister Dipuo Peters.

Road traffic volumes are expected to increase on the country’s major routes as people take advantage of the Workers Day holiday on Monday.

Minister Peters has called on motorists to obey the speed limit, buckle up and refrain from drinking and driving.

She’s also extended condolences to the families of the Randfontein crash victims.

Meanwhile, authorities are calling on the families of the victims to come forward.
