World Tourism Expo is an annual Tourism Trade Fair organized by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. It showcases the widest variety of Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world.

The purpose for LTA to be part of the show will benefit the province in many ways than one. Members of the Zambezi Destination included South Africa, through Limpopo Province, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique,Namibia and Zambia.

The past eight editions of Sanganai/Hlanganani were a resounding success and attracted the leading African destinations and major world tourism markets such as South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, China, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Indonesia, India, Italy and many others. The editions have seen the whole world converging in Zimbabwe in the form of high calibre international buyers as well as exhibitors.

The 2016 edition will be held in the country’s second largest city, Bulawayo, and is expected to ride on the successes gained by the previous editions, which is an opportunity not to be missed. The Fair will target among other exhibitors the National Tourism Boards, Embassies, International Airlines, Tourism destinations, Leading Tour Wholesalers, Tour Operators and Travel Agents, Accommodation Providers, Car Hire and Transport Operators, Suppliers of goods and services to the tourism industry, Investors, Government Ministries and Parastatals.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority will host travel media, travel agents and tour operators to be part of the trade show by joining other selected buyers at the Sanganai/Hlanganani-World Tourism Expo 2016. They will attend tours of various attractions in Zimbabwe. The pre Expo tours will commence on the 8 th until 15th June 2016 from Harare and the post one will commence on the 18 until the 22nd June 2016. The Exhibition will start on 16 until 18 June 2016.

Limpopo is the only province in the country that shares borders with three countries, namely, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Over and above this, the province has a major competitive advantage of having two Transfrontier Parks (TFPs), which is a niche product that no other province in the country possesses.

This advantage comprises two Transfrontier Parks, namely, the Great Mapungubwe Transfrontier Park, bordering South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana and the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, bordering South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
