FlySafair has adjusted its flight schedule for the period between Tuesday, 22 July and Monday, 28 July 2025, in anticipation of potential industrial action by its pilots.
These changes come amid unresolved wage negotiations with the trade union Solidarity, which have reached a deadlock after three months of discussions.
Although a strike has not been officially declared, the airline is proactively amending selected flight times to reduce the impact on its operations and minimise inconvenience for travellers.
The dispute centres on a rejected pay offer that included a 5.7% salary increase along with other compensation adjustments, which was turned down by the majority of Solidarity members.
Only specific flights have been affected, and impacted passengers will be notified directly using the contact details they provided when booking.
FlySafair has also encouraged customers to monitor their flight status via its website and, where necessary, rebook alternative flights free of charge.
The airline has stated that these precautionary steps are intended to maintain smooth service delivery, despite uncertainty over whether the strike will go ahead and how long it may last.
