I will today write to Danny Jordaan, President of SAFA, to suspend Truman Prince from the National Executive Committee of SAFA pending criminal prosecution for corruption and assault.
Truman Prince is currently engulfed in dual scandals of diverting public money to the ANC’s election campaign, as well as assaulting a female uniformed police officer. While dark clouds of criminality hang over Truman Prince’s head, he is not fit to serve on SAFA’s national leadership.
The ANC, which Jordaan represents, has condemned Prince, and Prince himself has admitted manhandling the female police officer in a way he described as gentle but manly. The Football Association must also investigate what SAFA business Prince was on a Friday night, when pulled over by the female police officer in his SAFA vehicle.
The SAFA leadership has no choice but to suspend Truman Prince from its national leadership. Like the people of Beaufort West, the stakeholders of SAFA deserve better than Truman Prince.
