JOHANNESBURG – Many South African stores are offering discounts on the 25th of November in light of Black Friday.
The big sale is meant to get rid of stock in preparation for Christmas sales.
The “informal” holiday gets its name from Black Friday which happens in the United States a day after Thanksgiving.
Since then, other countries including SA have followed suite.
Last year stores were crowded and some people waited for five hours before they reached the pay tills as Yusuf Omar reported.
This year that can be avoided if you get abreast to what strategies stores are offering this Friday.
