CAPE TOWN – Alleged wife killer Christopher Panayiotou is today expected to find out when he will stand trial.
Jayde Panayiotou’s body was found dumped on the outskirts of Uitenhage in April after she was snatched from outside her townhouse complex in Port Elizabeth.
Her husband is accused of hiring men to kill her.
Panayiotou is alleged to have hired a former employee Luthando Siyoli, to find men who would murder his wife.
Siyoli has turned state witness since his arrest.
Panayiotou’s co-accused Sizwezakhe Vumazonke, the alleged triggerman, and Sinethemba Nemembe will be in the dock with him today.
The Port Elizabeth businessman has been denied bail twice.
It’s expected the matter will today be referred to the High Court and a trial date could be set for later this year.
