Rescue teams in Limpopo have recovered the body of a man during ongoing search operations as flooding continues to affect parts of the province.
The discovery was made in Ngalavhani near Musina, where emergency crews have been responding to calls from communities cut off by rising water levels and damaged infrastructure.
Challenging Rescue Conditions
Emergency services and divers have been working under difficult conditions, navigating flooded roads and washed-away bridges while assisting stranded residents.
According to Vhembe rescue team leader Ndivhuho Nekhumbe, the body of a 34-year-old man was retrieved from a river and handed over to police.
Cause Of Death Still Unclear
Authorities say it is not yet confirmed whether the death is directly linked to the recent flooding.
The body has been transferred to forensic teams for identification and further investigation. Officials say inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
