A Netcare spokesperson stated that they treated two of the wounded while the other patient was attended to by another emergency service.
Of the two patients treated one was a bystander who was in critical condition and has been airlifted to Johannesburg Hospital. The other patient, a suspected Taxi boss is in a stable condition.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Tshepiso Mofokeng stated that the police were investigating the shooting incident and four suspects were arrested.
“Four suspects were arrested and two of the suspects were injured and hospitalized.” He said
He also confirmed that the shoot out was taxi related
“That’s what we are here to do, investigate the cause of the incident but we can confirm that it’s taxi related.”
