Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, has an opportunity to save South Africa, through his appointment of a new NPA boss.
Since the Constitutional Court slammed President Jacob Zuma for avoiding paying for Nkandla and for not obeying the constitution.

In welcoming the judgment which removes incumbent Shaun Abrahams from his position, organisations have pleaded for a moral and bold candidate to replace him.
“Ramaphosa has now been provided with the opportunity to remove a serious blockage in the criminal prosecution system, by placing the right person with sufficient moral courage to head up the NPA, thereby enabling the processing of many cases of corruption and maladmninistration of senior leaders, many of which are linked to the issue of state capture,” said the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) COO Ben Theron.
“It’s time that the NPA was headed up by an action oriented professional who won’t be influenced with bribes, lawlessness or intimidation.”
Corruption Watch said the judgment is essential to strengthen “our constitutional architecture, and ensuring that key actors within our criminal justice system act without fear, favour or prejudice in the execution of their duties”.
