The Nigerian striker, whose current wage at Napoli is €10 million a year, has shook hands with the French powerhouses on a five-year contract for €14 million per season
Roberto Calenda, the agent for the 25-year-old, was in Paris earlier this week to conduct negotiations with PSG.
To complete the trade, the Ligue 1 team and Napoli must still come to an agreement.
Osimhen’s €130 million release clause appears to be unmet by PSG, but Napoli and their new coach Antonio Conte are willing to let go of the midfielder. According to reports, they might make a bid of €100 million plus a player to seal the deal.
Prior to this, rumors circulated that PSG had put up a proposal that included Lee Kang-in, Nordi Mukiele, or Carlos Soler as part of the transfer package.
Romelu Lukaku, a Chelsea exile, is being considered by Napoli as an Osimhen replacement at the Stadio Maradona
Before adding more players to Conte’s roster, the former Serie A winners are eager to let go of players. If Osimhen’s transfer is completed, Lukaku’s pursuit will be made possible.
Osimhen has stayed committed to advancing his career in Europe, with the Premier League being his first choice, despite attention from Saudi Pro League team Al Ahli.
Amidst ongoing negotiations, the former Lille striker has continued to train with Napoli in a professional manner. Despite not being included in the coach’s plans for the upcoming season, he has impressed Conte.
