Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Zweli Mkhize says he is seeking legal advice following a Sunday newspaper report that he is linked to a R210 million dodgy deal.
It’s alleged that Mkhize facilitated the loan from the Public Investment Corporation for an oil company called Africa Oil and allegedly received a R4.5 million facilitation fee.
Mkhize, who described the claims as a ridiculous and malicious fabrication, has denied the allegations.
Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Head of Communications Legadima Leso says: “Minister Mkhize strongly denies the allegations published in the Sunday Times on June 10, 2018 about the so called R4.5 million kickback as a facilitation fee.”
“He is currently seeking legal advice but denies any knowledge or any association with this money or the company that is being mentioned,” says Leso.
