Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has acknowledged his relationship with controversial businessman Zesimdumise “Ze” Nxumalo, while firmly rejecting allegations of any involvement in criminal activity.
Speaking during an EFF press briefing, Malema was responding to claims made at the Madlanga Commission by suspended police sergeant Fannie Nkosi.
He dismissed suggestions that the EFF had any role in supplying a list of preferred companies linked to a Tshwane Metro Police Department tender, arguing that such claims were based on unverified information.
Malema stressed that no evidence had been presented directly linking the party or its leadership to the alleged procurement interference.
