JOHANNESBURG – Three of the four men arrested over an apparent racist attack outside KFC in Pretoria have previous assault charges pending against them.
A video of a black couple being assaulted by six white men is circulating on social media.

The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation has expressed disgust at the incident.
It’s praised the police for swift work, and is calling for harsher sentences for hate crimes.
The foundation said the attack is a clear sign of both racism and sexism in society.
KFC has condemned the attack and says working with the police to identify the suspects
Four of the six suspects have since been arrested.
Meanwhile, Police Minister Fikile Mbalula tweeted that the suspects are linked to a number of similar attacks in the area.
