PRETORIA – Members of the South African Police Services who lost their lives in the line of duty will be honoured on Sunday.
Cabinet has called on all South Africans to recognise and celebrate the lives of the men and women in blue.
Flags will fly at half-mast across the country and a moment of silence will be observed in their honour.
Police minister Bheki Cele says his department is making every effort to stop police killings.
Fifty-seven officers were killed in the line of duty in the 2016/2017 financial year.
