The England international signed a five-year deal that will keep him at Craven Cottage through the summer of 2029, with a one-year extension option with the club

He played as a number 10 or off the left flank for the Gunners, but he was equally comfortable on the right or in a somewhat deeper midfield role. He is a flexible attacking player.

This was made public on the club’s website on Friday in a statement.

After signing the document, Smith Rowe remarked, “I’m finally here, so I’m really happy for me and my family – it’s a good moment,” in an interview with FFCtv.

“I just wanted to get here as soon as possible so I could start working with my teammates. I’m really excited.

“After hearing about the project, talking with the manager, and observing the players we already have here, I believe this is an exciting project for me and the best move I can make for my career going forward.”

“I’m thrilled to announce Emile Smith Rowe’s arrival to Fulham Football Club,” Tony Khan continued.

Emile will be joining the team in Portugal as we continue to get ready for the upcoming season, and we are thrilled to have signed such a gifted young player! Hurry up, Fulham!

Smith Rowe, a native of London who turned 24 on Sunday, was born in Croydon, ten miles from the Cottage, and enrolled in the Arsenal program ten years later, according to the announcement.

Smith Rowe’s departure from Arsenal to join London rival Fulham FC was also confirmed by the club in a separate statement posted on their website on Friday.

The news that “Emile Smith Rowe has joined Fulham on a permanent transfer” was released revealed this.

“Emile enrolled in our Academy at the age of 10, and he advanced through every age group before being called up to the first team. He went on to play for us in 115 senior appearances across all competitions, contributing 13 assists and 18 goals,” it said in part.

The Sporting Director of Arsenal responds

“Everyone at the club loves Emile,” stated Edu, the Sporting Director. He has been with us for a long time, and we are really happy of how our Academy system allowed him to grow into our first team.

The process of locating Emile the ideal location, where he can develop further and leave his imprint on the Premier League, has been positively collaborative. We’ve closed a significant deal that will benefit everyone.

“We wish Emile well in the next phase of his career and thank him for everything he gave to Arsenal.”

“Emile’s commitment, attitude, and energy every day was first class, always stepping up when the team needed him,” Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta continued. He entered the starting lineup and helped us through a trying time. He made a lasting impression, inspiring pride in our supporters with his powerful performances.

“Although I’m sorry to see Emile go, I’m glad he’s taking advantage of this new chance at a time in his career when he should be starting and playing frequently.

“Everyone at the club loves Emile, and he leaves with our sincere appreciation, utmost respect, and best wishes. At Fulham, we all wish Emile and his family the best.

Emile’s service to Arsenal is much appreciated, and the entire Arsenal team wishes him well in his future endeavors.

The Arsenal statement continued, “The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

Debut of Smith Rowe

According to sources, Smith Rowe made his debut in 2018–19 and scored three goals in six games before going on loan to RB Leipzig.

That December, he made his Premier League debut. Later, when on loan at Huddersfield Town, he scored important goals.

He made his debut for Arsenal in 2020–21, playing 33 games and taking home the number 10 shirt.

With England, he won the 2023 Under-21 European Championship and became well-known worldwide.

He made 19 appearances in his final season at Arsenal, when they just missed out on winning the Premier League to Manchester City.
