Emergency teams in KwaZulu-Natal are on standby as severe weather conditions continue to affect the region. Durban, in particular, has been placed under a Level 4 weather warning, with forecasts predicting widespread showers and thunderstorms.
Several parts of the city are already experiencing flooding, especially along major roads, prompting concerns for both motorists and residents.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics have urged the public to exercise extreme caution due to the ongoing and expected rainfall. Motorists and homeowners are advised to remain vigilant as large pools of water and localised flooding have been reported across various areas in Durban.
The warning remains in effect for the remainder of the day as emergency services monitor the situation closely.
