CAPE TOWN – The defence is expected to present its arguments in the Zephany Nurse case on Monday.
A woman is accused of kidnapping a three-day-old baby from the Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town 19 years ago.
She’s expected to testify first for the defence and also faces charges of fraud and contravening the Children’s Act.
The 51-year-old has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Last week the state wrapped up its case at the Western Cape High Court.
Zephany was reunited with her biological parents last year, after she befriended her younger sister at school.
