JOHANNESBURG – A former inmate who claims correctional services stole his inmate-monitoring idea, says he’s considering his legal options.
Quintin Richards claims he came up with a biometric identification system after being jailed for a drug offence in 2012.
But he says the department turned down his proposal.
Richards claims he worked day and night on the idea and that he even manufactured a prototype to store an inmate’s personal information.
Correctional services has denied the claims.
