Music legend and producer, Sello Chicco Twala, says his son Longwe is not involved in the death of Senzo Meyiwa. He claims his son has never carried a firearm, and that his gun has never been lost or stolen.
Chicco denied that his firearm was involved in Meyiwa’s murder. Twala was speaking outside the Randburg Magistrate’s Court, where his two sons are appearing in a separate case.
“My son will never do that, he didn’t shoot Senzo. I won’t defend my son when you say he stole from you because I know he is a thief and I won’t defend him if you say he takes drugs because I know he is a druggie, but if you say my son is a murderer … he shot someone, you are definitely crazy.”
Sello and Longwe Twala were detained after their father filed a robbery and theft charge against them at the Douglasdale Police Station.
Chicco has accused them of taking his studio equipment from his house in Fourways, Johannesburg.
Chicco claims his sons broke into his studio and stole expensive musical instruments valued at thousands of rands.
