JOHANNESBURG – President Jacob Zuma says it’s worrying that genuine concerns regarding the cost of university education have been hijacked and marred by violence.
Zuma yesterday addressed the heads of diplomatic missions in Pretoria.
President Jacob Zuma has called on the #FeesMustFall protesters to give the Fees Commission a chance to conclude its work.
“Because it has to deal with the issue very seriously so that when it gives a report it must solve the question of the country with regard to education. There must not be issues left unattended.”
He says police must bring to book those who use genuine grievances to promote criminal acts.
The president says the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Higher Education crisis will help stabilize university’s and provide support to students who want to write exams.
