Pretoria – The Gauteng Department of Education has apologised for the delay caused by a technical glitch in the Learner Admissions website.
The department on Tuesday said the website will go live at 10am instead of 8am as previously communicated.
“We sincerely apologise for the delay,” said the department.
The department had advised all parents to apply online for their children’s school admissions, who will be doing Grade 1 and 8 in 2017.
The department said the applications window for government schools will close at midnight on 1 June 2016.
All parents are advised to apply online by logging onto www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.
