The newly elected president of Cosatu, Zingiswa Losi says she’s confident that the Federation will move forward and intensify its efforts of making sure all workers are protected in the workplace, especially women.
She says resolutions taken at the 13th Congress need to be implemented for the betterment of millions of workers in South Africa.
Losi says women must participate fully in all spheres of management within Cosatu and its affiliates.
She is addressing the more than 2000 delegates who elected her as President of the Federation.
On Wednesday Sdumo Dlamini, said workers affiliated with their unions are ready for a female to take over the labour federation’s top post.
