Two people were killed and five others sustained various injuries when a light duty vehicle overturned several times on the R21 north towards Pretoria at the R23 off ramp.
At approximately 7.30pm when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene, they found that all the occupants were ejected from the overturned vehicle. Two people were found with fatal injuries. Two were found with critical injuries and three others with moderate injuries.
Most of the occupants sustained several fractures and possible head injuries. They were stabilised on the scene and later transported to nearby hospitals in the area.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known.
