Ten commuters including five children have suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate in a collision involving a minibus taxi earlier this evening.
Crisis Medical paramedics arrived on the scene in Mdoni Road in Kwamashu, north of Durban shortly after 07:30 PM, to find the injured still clambering to free themselves from the badly wrecked taxi.
A call for more resources was made by the Crisis Medical emergency contact centre and the injured were triaged and stabilized on scene before being taken to various nearby hospitals in the area for further care.
The facts pertaining to the collision and the cause there of, remain unclear and are subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
