Zimbabwe’s opposition MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai will be buried Tuesday in his home village of Buhera in east of the country.
He died in a Johannesburg hospital last Wednesday at the age of 65, after a long battle with cancer. On Monday, Zimbabweans gathered in the centre of the capital Harare for a public memorial service in honour of Tsvangirai.
There is confirmation that Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition in Kenya who was also very close to Tsvangirai, is now in the country.
Funeral proceedings will start early and are expected to be finished by two o’clock.
