Pretoria – Water reservoir levels in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality are showing gradual signs of recovery following recent supply disruptions and high consumption pressure.
According to municipal updates, several reservoirs that had dropped to critically low levels are slowly stabilising as pumping systems regain momentum and demand management measures take effect.
Residents have been urged to continue using water sparingly to support full system recovery. Authorities cautioned that although improvements are visible, the network remains vulnerable to spikes in consumption.
The municipality has attributed earlier low levels to a combination of infrastructure strain, high demand and operational challenges within the bulk supply system.
Officials say monitoring is ongoing and recovery will depend on sustained reduced usage and system stability in the coming days.
