The Transnet National Sports Tournament is aimed at forming holistically run sports leagues for boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 19. This initiative undertaken by the Transnet Foundation intends to nurture, and develop our future sporting stars in female and male soccer, chess and athletics and netball.

This year’s event begins at 17h00 on the 01 December 2018 with an Olympic sized opening ceremony including a procession, traditional dancers, live bands and a fireworks display. Competitors, sports scouts, sport officials, media and dignitaries will spend the next two days witnessing up‐and‐coming sports talent in all the various disciplines.
