According to E24 spokesperson, there were three collisions in Pretoria this afternoon, which left at least 22 people injured and two killed.
Between 3pm and 5pm, paramedics from ER24 attended to three serious collisions on the R514 (Van der Hoff Road) and the R55.
A man was rushed to Kalafong Hospital after he sustained serious injuries in a collision on the R55. A nine-year-old sustained critical injury. He was later airlifted from the scene. It is understood that the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a wall.
In another collision, nine people were injured, including two children, when a vehicle and a light duty truck collided head on with each other on the R514 near Middel Avenue. Sadly, the driver of the light duty truck was killed in the collision.
A second collision on the R514 left a 66-year-old man with fatal injuries and two people with minor injuries. The collision involved a taxi and a quadbike that collided head on with each other. The quadbike rider was found with fatal injuries and later declared dead on the scene.
