State Cature Inquiry to resume on Wednesday

The Commission of inquiry into State Capture will on Wednesday continue to hear the testimony of former Bosasa auditor, Peet Venter, in Parktown, Johannesburg.

Tuesday, Venter told the Commission that he was asked by Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson to make a payment to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son’s foundation.

Venter added that payment of R1.1-million was made towards former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s legal fees.

“I was instructed to pay the R500 000 – part of the R3-million payment which was received to EFT into an Absa bank account. Gavin Watson mentioned that the payment is towards Andile Ramaphosa’s foundation.”
