SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt is searching for solutions to contain the in-form Gastón Sirino as his team gets ready to face Kaizer Chiefs in a league match on Saturday.
The Uruguayan playmaker has been outstanding for the Glamour Boys this season, playing a vital role in their 4-0 victory over Matsatsantsa in the Carling Knockout last weekend.
Kaizer Chiefs have made a strong start to the season, currently sitting in seventh place in the league with six points from three games.
They aim to maintain their impressive form against SuperSport, where Sirino is expected to be instrumental in their quest for consecutive wins over the Tshwane-based side.
In contrast, SuperSport has struggled this season, managing only one win in three matches and sitting ninth in the league with just four points.
In a recent interview on the SoccerBeat Podcast on YouTube, Hunt acknowledged the challenges of defending against Sirino.
“Sirino is difficult to play against because he does not play with the game. When the game moves he does not move he stands and when the ball gets turned over it goes to him.”
Hunt further praised his abilities, saying he’s a fantastic player who can quickly change the game.
