JOHANNESBURG – The mother of a three-year-old child who died at Pastor Paseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng’s church wants the government to pay for the funeral.
Nontombi Gwam asked the pastor to heal her sick child at a church service in Katlehong on Christmas Eve.
Paramedics were then called in when the child’s condition worsened.
Gwam and Motsoeneng claim emergency personnel refused to save the toddler’s life, while paramedics accuse the pastor and his congregation of assault.
Ekurhuleni EMS further denied claims they refused to help.
The child’s memorial service will take place on Thursday and the funeral will be held at the weekend.
“I still need to transport my family to the Eastern Cape…I appeal to the government, local, provincial and national, to ensure the burial takes place… I am appealing to the mayor to help me”, Gwam added.
