Parliament has condemned what it calls abusive behaviour and racist insults against some of its officials who are travelling with the Constitutional Review Committee during public hearings on land expropriation.
It says several officials have received racists insults and abuse from callers on their cell phones.
The Committee is continuing with nationwide public hearings to possibly review Section 25 of the Constitution to expropriate land without compensation.
The public hearings are sitting in Limpopo and the Northern Cape.
Parliament has made public the cell numbers of all media liaison officials who are travelling with the committee for each province.
In a statement Parliament says the mobile phone numbers have been made public to assist with media liaison and public mobilisation.
Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says some of the officials have complained that they are receiving racist insults and other abuse from callers.
Mothapo says the officials were able to identify the details of some of the calls and they will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
Parliament says its officials are always willing to assist members of the public and the media to ensure a meaningful, transparent and open public participation process.
