Orlando Pirates captain Oupa Manyisa is reportedly feeling he has failed the club’s fans with his performances since returning from his long-term injury.
The central midfielder suffered an injury in September 2015 and he only returned to action at beginning of the current 2016/17 campaign.
However, the hard-working player has failed to rediscover his old form for the Buccaneers, who are winless in 11 Premier Soccer League (PSL) games.
According to The Citizen source, Manyisa has been putting himself under pressure as he looks to impress the Pirates supporters.
“We all know he has not been at his best since returning from injury,” the source told The Citizen.
“But again he has not done so badly. He is putting himself under pressure because the fans have shown their frustrations with him,” source continued.
“He lost his place in the national team and that again is something that is not sitting well with him. We at the team just hope he can bounce back,” the source concluded.
The 28-year-old midfield maestro has made 17 league appearances for the Buccaneers this season – netting once in the process.
